Merlin has launched its Rivington AAA Jean, a new men’s motorcycle riding jean designed to offer high-level protection without losing the look and feel of everyday denim.
Available in black or blue, the Rivington is a straight-leg jean with a regular rise and easy fit, making it suitable for riders who want something comfortable both on and off the bike. For classic motorcycle owners in particular, the understated five-pocket design means the jeans should sit naturally with retro, modern classic and traditional riding kit.

Protection is the main selling point. The Rivington is built to meet CE EN17092-2:2020 Level AAA, the highest motorcycle clothing safety standard, and uses Merlin’s DualGuard Layering System for abrasion and impact protection.

D3O Diablo knee and hip armour comes pre-fitted as standard. This is D3O’s premium, flexible and vented armour, giving riders impact protection without the bulky feel sometimes associated with heavily armoured motorcycle jeans.
The Rivington also features a durable water-repellent treatment, helping rain bead away during showers. Other details include YKK zippers throughout, including a top waterproof pocket, an anthracite reflective turn-up, leather belt patch, metal hardware, a Euro hoop connecting strap and a short jacket-to-jean connecting zipper.
The Merlin Rivington AAA Jean is available in short or regular leg lengths, in waist sizes 30in to 42in. The RRP is £199.99.
