Back Street Heroes welcomes war veteran Simon Weston in inspiring journey

October 13, 2021

In our November issue of Back Street Heroes, we have the pleasure of welcoming Falklands War veteran Simon Weston CBE.

If you've seen the last couple of issues of Back Street Heroes, you'll know war hero Simon Weston's had a Triumph-engined trike built for him so he can achieve a lifetime ambition of getting on the road.

It's been nearly 40 years since Simon suffered 46% burns over his body when the ship he was on, the Sir Galahad, was bombed by the Argentinian Air Force during the Falklands War, requiring multiple and extensive surgeries.

Since in recovery he has been working with various charities, but now wants to - despite badly damaged hands - achieve a longing ambition of getting on the road.

Find out about how a chance meeting with Triumph's Norman Hyde led to Simon Weston realise his dream in the November issue of Back Street Heroes - on sale now.

Welcome to the wind, Simon!

What's inside the November issue?

We also go to custom biker lifestyle events big and small, all over the country and across Europe, to give a true flavour of the custom bike scene.

The Back Street Heroes magazine features technical articles on bike building and maintenance, readers’ pictures, and all the latest custom bike news and products – plus much, much more besides. Oh, and the staffers are all bikers, too.
