Getting the lowdown! At the time I was hoping to get the big Jap by itself, but in the event I think this turned out so much better because it records Alf Hagon taking the time to explain in great detail the workings of the machine to these unknown enthusiasts. Your story was very informative and it took me back to the times when MCN was eagerly awaited to break up the week and reports of sprinters like Alf really caught the imagination, especially the 10sec barrier. And, of course, MCN carried a lot of the trials results too. The JAP appears to want to leap off the stand…
