Race ace, TV commentator and thoroughly decent all-round bloke, James Whitham will be the star guest at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic at the Newark Showground on January 9-10. 

They were believed to have been destroyed, but last year eight long-lost Brough Superior motorcycles were discovered in a Cornish village and, unveiled for the first time in 50 years, will be offered at Bonhams’ Sale of Important Collectors’ Motorcycles at Stafford on April 24. 

While few of the traction engines that originated at the Offham Steam Rally now attend, it remains an annual get-together (on October 18, 2015) of all sorts of older transport that dominates the Kent village.
