Royal Enfield has announced a new initiative aimed at supporting grassroots rider development in the UK, supplying select training schools with fleets of its new Guerrilla 450 motorcycle.

The programme launches with six motorcycles already delivered and in use at three UK riding schools, with further deliveries planned as the initiative expands.

Under the scheme, Drayton Croft Motorcycles in Hinckley, Kings Two Wheel Centre in Kidlington, and Cooperb in Wellingborough are the first to receive Guerrilla 450 machines for use in rider training.

Alongside the training school programme, Royal Enfield is introducing a ‘Ready to Ride’ finance package, designed to offer new riders a more accessible route into motorcycling by combining the costs of licensing, equipment and a motorcycle into a single monthly payment.

‘Ready to Ride’ Finance Package

The ‘Ready to Ride’ finance package allows new riders to fund:

  • A Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
  • Riding apparel and accessories
  • An A2 licence

The aim is to reduce the barrier created by large upfront costs and simplify the process of starting out in motorcycling.

The finance scheme is offered through Royal Enfield Finance, underwritten by CA Auto Finance UK, which trades as a branch of the Crédit Agricole Auto Bank Group. CA Auto Finance UK developed the package and has begun offering the finance through the initial group of participating dealers and training schools.

Royal Enfield says the initiative is intended to help make riding more accessible and support the development of new riders entering motorcycling.

George Cheeseman, Royal Enfield UK, said:

“The Guerrilla 450 is a fantastic motorcycle that perfectly embodies the spirit of ‘pure motorcycling.’ By providing these bikes to our partner riding schools, we are helping to create a new generation of motorcyclists who start their journey on a fun, stylish, and user-friendly motorcycle.”

Davide Mamdouh Nageh, Marketing Manager at CA Auto Finance UK, added:

“We recognise that the upfront costs of motorcycling – from licensing to gear – can be a real barrier, especially for new riders. This collaboration is about removing complexity and delivering value across the network, making the dream of riding a Royal Enfield an accessible reality for a new generation.”

Guerrilla 450 Introduced to Training Fleets

Trainees participating in the programme will gain experience on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, powered by the company’s Sherpa 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 40 bhp and 40 Nm (29.5 lb-ft) of torque.

The Guerrilla 450 is built on Royal Enfield’s liquid-cooled Sherpa engine platform and features a lightweight chassis, upright riding position and manageable power delivery, characteristics the company says make it suitable for rider training.

The motorcycle features a 780mm seat height, mid-set footpegs and an upright riding stance intended to provide control and accessibility for riders learning on UK roads.

Royal Enfield says introducing the Guerrilla 450 into training fleets forms part of its broader strategy to support grassroots motorcycling in the UK.

The company has previously supported rider development through initiatives including Slide School, Build Train Race, and a partnership with the British Army’s Motorised Adventure group.
